Nanu Asan become moreand more drawn away from home and social gatherings. He lived like a recluse. This frightened hisparents. So they decided to marry him to one of his cousins. Whenhe was told of this decision he didnot show any reaction. As he didnot protest, they took it forgranted that he gave his consent.
A day was fixed for his wedding. He left his home theprevious night. When he was notseen even at the time to go to thebride’s home, his sister offeredto go as Nanu Asan’s proxy to marry the girl onher brother’s behalf !After a few days, Nanu Asan returned homeand his relatives presented the bride to him. At that time he spoketo his ‘ wife ’ also with kind andgentle words.Once, when she had a bleeding nose, he even administered a herbal remedy by squeezing the juice of some leaves into her nostril.
